Acceptable Use Policy

The ground rules that keep the network fast and safe for every neighbor on it.

This policy applies to everyone who uses a ZoomFiber connection. It exists to protect the network and the people on it, and we enforce it with that spirit.

Use the service lawfully

Do not use the service to violate any law, infringe intellectual property, distribute malware, or engage in fraud, harassment, or exploitation. Full stop.

Respect the network

  • No interference with the service of other users or networks
  • No unauthorized access attempts, scanning, or denial-of-service activity
  • No sending of spam or operating open relays
  • No reselling service without a written agreement with us

Home servers and reasonable use

Personal servers, cameras, and self-hosted projects are welcome on residential plans within reasonable residential use. If an activity rises to commercial-scale traffic, talk to us about a business plan built for it.

Security responsibilities

Keep your WiFi secured and your equipment updated. If we detect that a device on your connection is compromised and harming the network, we may filter or suspend affected traffic and will work with you to clean things up.

Enforcement

Violations may result in warning, filtering, suspension, or termination, proportionate to the harm. Where practicable we contact you first, because most issues are honest mistakes or compromised gadgets, not villainy.

Reporting abuse

To report abuse originating from our network, contact support@zoomfiber.com.
